The Taste of Huntington Beach 2008 Winners
Huntington Beach… An estimated 2,400 people took advantage of the all-inclusive,
one-price ticket to sample A Taste of Huntington Beach, making its debut at the
Huntington Beach Sport Complex April 20.
And ten judges put pen to paper while sampling over 40 eateries, wineries and
breweries to register the “Best” in seven categories.
“Best Taste” went to Shades Restaurant at the Waterfront Hilton; “Best Dessert” went
to TomGirl Baking Company; “Best Brew” went to BL Lime; “Best Sip” in the wine
category was given to Coppola; “Best Food Preparation” went to Dukes Surf City; “Best
Booth Decoration” featured Mother’s Market, and “Most Enthusiastic” went to Lazy Dog
Cafe.
The Taste is produced by the Huntington Beach Restaurant Association, and net
proceeds from the food event will benefit the Huntington Beach Children’s Library and
Project Self-Sufficiency.
